19.01.2012 JLG Articulated Boom Lifts Production in Romania

JLG plans to move European production of its 450 Series II and 510AJ articulated boom lifts to its facility in Medias, Romania. The facility in Medias allows JLG to meet customer expectations by quickly responding to market requirements. Producing in the region will continue to allow rapid product delivery to customers and complements other manufacturing locations in Europe. JLG Manufacturing Central Europe currently components for telehandler and European built articulated boom lifts. Located 60km from Sibiu in central Romania, it has undergone a thorough internal refurbishment and is equipped with a fully automated paint line, welding facilities and several assembly lines.

The JLG facility in Maasmechelen, Belgium will continue to produce European telehandlers, while providing parts, service and product distribution for the European market. ES electric scissor lifts are to be supplied from the company’s facility in Tianjin, China, while Toucan mast booms are manufactured in Tonneins, France.
