    05.02.2010 MEC Titan Boom 40-S

    US based MEC Aerial Work Platforms will be launching its Titan Boom 40-S which combines the capacity of a 1,800kg telehandler, the work area of a 6.7 by 2.28m ultra-deck scissor lift, plus the reach and rotation of a boom with a 14.2m working height. The Titan can hold up to four workers plus tools. The unit has automatic platform leveling which can rotate 180 degrees and handle 1,800kg loads.

    The unit features three steering modes - two wheel, four wheel and crab steer. The machine weighs 10,900 kg and can drive while elevated up to 9.1 meters platform height. Forward outreach is eight meters although the unit can cover up to 16.7 meters horizontally at a height of up to 6.7 meters. Powered by Kubota turbo diesel engine, the Titan Boom 40-S has 12 lanyard attachments and on-board diagnostics.
