21.04.2010 Compact Mobile Crane Liebherr LTC 1045-3.1

Liebherr is taking the opportunity of the 2010 ‘Bauma’ to present the three-axle LTC 1045-3.1. The new compact mobile crane, with a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tonnes, supplements the range of all-terrain cranes in the three-axle class. The LTC 1045-3.1 provides the excellent travel characteristics of traditional all-terrain cranes, and, thanks to its compact design, it can be used equally well as the ideal lifting equipment for operations in very confined spaces, such as crane working in industrial production halls. For road travel the crane cab can be moved to the front of the vehicle on a telescopic arm and fixed in place by mechanical means, which provides the driver with the best possible view of the highway.

The turning radius of the LTC 1045-3.1 is only 7.4 meters. The crane’s compact design means that the new LTC 1045-3.1 from Liebherr is capable of driving through hall doors which are only 3 meters high. The new LTC 1045-3.1 is designed as an “all-in” crane, with the result that the total weight of 36 tonnes and axle weight of 12 tonnes includes the complete counterweight of 6.5 tonnes, 16er tyres, the Telma eddy-current brake, 6 x 6 drive, and a hook block, all of which means that the new 45-tonner is ready to go straight into action on the site. The new LTC 1045-3.1 provides high load capacities over the entire operating range. These values lie in the range of 50-tonne cranes in road travel condition with a total weight of 36 tonnes.
