    01.12.2011 New Flat-Top Tower Cranes LC3000 Series

Linden Comansa has launched a series of high capacity flat top tower cranes, the LC3000, which can lift 59t (66.14USt), that it calls the largest in the world. The high capacity towers are designed mainly for heavy industry, mining and public works. Masts reach heights of 40–80m (131–262ft) and the jib has sections every 10m (33 ft). The largest tower section is 6.2m high (20ft) and 10m long (33ft). The series contains two models, 30 LC 1100 and 30 LC 1400, and these are offered in maximum load capacities of 32, 48 and 64USt (70,550, 105,820 and 141,090lbs).

Transport is made easier thanks to a new system that allows users to fold the upper part of the jib, these sections fit into an open-top container, while the rest of jib sections fit into normal containers. Maximum freestanding height of these cranes is 88.8 m (291 ft); they can reach higher with tie frames. The crane could be raised to a height of 198.3m (650 ft) using two tie frames. The flat tops are available to buy from December 1st 2011.
