Commercial vehicle and bus manufacturer, IVECO, has renewed Kuehne +Nagel's logistics service contract for another three years. Kuehne + Nagel manages the majority of IVECO's European aftermarket supply. The contract involves a total of 300,000 m2 of logistics space with between 80,000 to 160,000 stock-keeping units per depot. The annual flow of nine million order lines, ranging from small components to entire engine blocks, totals well over 60,000 tons of outgoing cargo.

Kuehne + Nagel also manages the entire distribution of stock via overnight shipments via its automotive distribution network throughout Europe, including Ireland, Scandinavia, Benelux and Portugal among others. Kuehne + Nagel will also introduce enhancements such as RFID and pick-by-voice technologies, and will implement restructuring measures in order to improve the efficiency and responsiveness of IVECO's spare parts supply chain.
