    31.10.2013 All-terrain flying car SkyRunner

At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show an all-terrain flying car SkyRunner will be presented. The unique all-terrain vehicle can be easily transitioned into an airplane in three minutes. This flying car is designed for both recreational use and for example for rescue teams. The most important is the fact that SkyRunner does not need an airport as all open fields will be the runways of choice.

The SkyRunner is powered by a 1-liter three-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine producing 125 hp (92 kW) and 200 Nm of torque. On the ground it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and the top speed is 185 km/h, in the air the maximum speed is 88 km/h.

First deliveries will start next year with a price of $119,000; the buyer should obtain a flying license that requires 12 hours of flight with a Certified Flight Instructor.
