31.07.2008 Roadtec SX-7 to set high standards in productivity

The SX-7 stabilizer/reclaimer produced by Roadtec (USA) can cut up to 21” (53cm) deep and 8’-5” (257cm) wide in one pass. With fuel capacity of 455 gal (1,722 L) you can run the SX-7 at full horsepower for 12 hours without the need to refuel. The 18.1 liter, 700 hp (522kW) diesel engine complies with Tier 3 and Stage IIIa standards. The engine’s air intake is positioned in a clean area of the machine, far away from flying dust and particles. Air filtration uses two pre-cleaners plus two dual-stage air filters with visual service indicators to assure clean engine air.

The SX-7 is an example of the latest machine control technology, yet it’s easy to use. Three different interconnected controllers are always in communication with each other. They make sure that all machine functions and systems such as engine power, travel speed, cut depth, hydraulic systems and metering systems are always working together in harmony in accordance with the job specs. All SX-7 controls are mounted within easy reach of the adjustable spring-suspension seat. A fully enclosed, climate-controlled cab is available.
